How to FIND and CATCH Bait for Catfish in Creeks

Fishing creeks is a great place to find and catch a variety of fish. If you are having a difficult time finding bait in your lake/river, try fishing the creeks. Typically in a heavy rain or flood, a lot of the bait fish will move into the backwaters or creeks to stay out of the heavy current.

When: February 26, 2018
Where: Small creek that feeds into the Tennessee River
Time: 4:00pm – 5:15pm
Current Level: Moderate current
Bait: Canadian Nightcrawlers
Tackle: Shakespeare Micro Series Ultra Light Rod spooled with 4 lb monofilament fishing line with a 1/32 oz. jig head
Method: Fishing from the bank in a creek
