I built my own chainsaw mill from scratch to accommodate a longer bar. In this video, I show you how I use this mill and offer tips for efficient operation of the mill.

1. Keep your logs clean
2. Keep your chain sharp
3. Use rails about 2′ longer than your logs for cutting the reference slab.
4. Cut reference slabs as a batch
5. Mill downhill if possible
